Bayou St. John is a 6.3 km long waterway located entirely within the city of New Orleans. The history of the bayou is long and integral to the region. This field trip will focus on several topics, including the natural history of the bayou, human impacts on the bayou from colonization to modern times, and recent efforts to restore habitat along and within Bayou St. John.
